Most issues are scanned in as 150 DPI JPEGs. Color corerected, aligned, and optimized in Photoshop.
Then organized and compressed into a CBR format for the reader.

An average issue is 5-7 meg in size.

Other resolutions are possible depending on your needs. JPEGs are preffered but PNG formats are available also.

We recommend CDisplay for Windows users.

CDisplay is a free sequential image viewer utility for Microsoft Windows used to view images one at a time in the style of a comic book. CDisplay was written to easily view JPEG, PNG and static GIF format images sequentially. The program's inspiration and implementation was partly because the existing programs currently available were too general purpose and thus were awkward to use when simply viewing images sequentially.

• Loads JPEG, PNG and static GIF images which are automatically ordered alphabetically and presented for viewing one at a time or two at a time.
• The images may be viewed from a folder or collected in a .zip, .rar, .ace or .tar archive file - CDisplay is able to view images without decompressing the archive.
• Page through the images sequentially and scroll around pages with single key presses.
• Many automatic page sizing options including choices to display one or two pages at one time. Image resizing uses Lanczos resampling for the best picture quality.

A note about the CBR format for digital comics. Protect your comics with copies in the CBR format. Files read just like a PDF on a PC with all the same advantages and portability of digital documents.Faster rendering then PDF files you can adjust all the view settings down to color adjustments. Change pages with your mouse wheel button. A very simple and easy to use interface that doesn't have a lot of $Adobe$ bloatware in it.

We offer limited support and will replace any defective discs. We have checked the files the best we can but can not catch everything. Sometimes a corrupted pdf or cbr can get by us or may not work on your PC. So feel free to report any bugs and/or defective discs.

Included on each disc are CDisplay for XP/Vista PCs and Jomic for Mac OS X 10.4 or newer. We strongly recommend Mac users purchase Comic Book Lover, available on the web for 10.4 and 10.5 systems. We do offer help for only users of the newer Intel based Macs with OS X 10.4 or newer. However errors with the Display software are the domain of the individual software providers and help is available on their respective websites.
